International Success for Jess.

Updated: Apr 6, 2020

Jess takes silver at the Camden international and then gold in the team event.

Jess Corby made it through to the gala semi-finals and final of the Camden International, having won all her matches. In the semi-final, with the score at 8-8, her opponent retired injured. Jess fenced well in the final, but it was to be silver medal for her.

On day two, Jess played a pivotal role in driving Team GB to the gold medal, beating teams from Bulgaria, Belgium and a surprise joint Roumania/Greece team who put out the favoured Swiss in the semi-final.

A great weekend's work that almost certainly secures her place at the World Cadet Fencing Championships in a couple of months time.
